PACKAGE
1: The three-minute Webcast. £399 +VAT
Like all our programmes
these are ideal for all sorts of trades and industries from small manufacturing
firms through to high street trades such as Hairdressers, Dance Studios,
Solicitors, Furniture and Kitchen outlets, Clubs, Bars, Restaurants....
Primarily these
programmes are intended for webcasting via a site such as YouTube although
of course you can embed them directly into your own site. However, as
the programmes are also supplied on DVD and Blu-Ray compatible disc they're
ideal for exhibition use too!
One of our programmes
opened the 2009 Stirling Film Festival at the McRobert's arts centre.
So we can safely say that the AVCHD version of your programme is suitable
for projection on anything up to (and including) cinema sized screens.
And the standard DVD version is ideal for Point-of-Sale or Window display....
Webcast gives
you a 1/2 day shoot at a single location, up to 8 hours in Post-Production,
Stock Music and simple roll-in graphics created from your existing logo
or artwork. Made to a standard format, Webcast puts you (or a member of
your team) on-screen to demonstrate or just talk about your company, product
or service. We creatively intercut this with shots of your process or
facilities, professionally produced music and graphics to make a truly
professional presentation you can be proud of.
PACKAGE
2: Webcast Plus! £588 +VAT
Webcast Plus! extends
the basic webcast package by allowing you a full day's shooting at up to two
locations (within 50 miles of each other and within 125 miles of our base)
and giving you 10 hours post-production time. This is ideal for slightly more
complex programmes or projects up to five minutes in length.
PACKAGE
3: Basic Exhibition / Point of Sale £1288 +VAT
The basic Webcast
packages are shot to a 'template' script which isn't suitable for every
use.
Where you have
a product demonstration to make or need something a little more dynamic
it's essential to create a bespoke script for your programme. Creating
this bespoke script and planning your programme involves additional work.
The Basic Exhibition
package is suited to creating a fairly brief, 3-6 minute company profile
or product demo suitable for use at an exhibition, for point of sale use
or for use on a website. Location wise it's practical to cover a maximum
of two sites within about a 50 mile radius of each other with this package
and we assume that there is a minimum of lip-synced shound to be shot
on location; the main audio being voice-over plus music. For example if
you wished to use a presenter or interviews, this package would not be
suitable
In this situation
we do not normally require a specialist sound recordist or specialised
sound kit; which means the Director/Cameraman can operate on their own.
We're assuming here that any graphics already exist in the form of company
logos etc. And that any voice over can be done by a member of the client's
staff, although a professional voice-over artist can be provided at extra
cost.
Specifically you
get:
1, 2 hour meeting
with director producer to include a site tour/recce
12 hours scripting/pre production
1, 2 hour meeting with director to finalise script and shooting schedule
1, 8 hour day shooting with solo Director/Cameraman.
Location voice-over recording
(done after the initial edit is approved)
18 Hours in
post Production which includes:
10hours editing
followed by an approval (offline) disc.
4 further hours editing and audio dubbing prior to final approval.
4 hours final preparation and encoding
Library music fee
PACKAGE
4: Extended Exhibition / Point of Sale £1588 +VAT
Extending that idea to a rather more 'corporate style' and more complex
programme, we're assuming here that interviews will be shot and/or more
diverse locations will be involved. Using a presenter (which costs extra!)
or delivering set lines will absorb more time than simply taking 'open'
shots, and this is essentially what we're allowing for here.
This time we have
a two person crew shooting over two days, with a sound recordist and specialist
microphne kit included. Because of the extra complexity of the shoot expect
to generate about the same amount of footage, therefore post-production
options are the same as in the basic package..
1, 2 hour meeting with director producer to include a site tour/recce
12 hours scripting/pre production
1, 2hour meeting with director to finalise script and shooting schedule
2, 8 hour days shooting
with cameraman and audio assistant
Location voice-over recording (done after the initial edit is approved)
18 Hours in
post Production which includes:
10hours editing
followed by an approval (offline) disc.
4 further hours editing and audio dubbing prior to final approval.
4 hours final preparation and encoding
Library music fee
PACKAGE
5: The basic blue chip package
£4888 +VAT
For a really slick presentation you may wish to use a professional actor
and voice-over artist as well as utilise modern 3d graphics. This approach
can produce extremely prestigious results on a par with those normally
associated with blue-chip organisations. Of course that adds complexity
to your programme.
The basic blue
chip package allows for more time in the planning and pre-production stages.
It also includes an extra day shooting, more post-production time and
the services of a junior presenter (typically a recent Drama graduate
or final-year student) and professional voice-over artist.
1, 4 hour meeting with director producer to include a site tour/recce
20 hours scripting/pre production
1, 4 hour meeting with director to finalise script and shooting schedule
3, 8 hour day shooting with cameraman and audio assistant
18 hours editing followed by an approval (offline) disc.
Location voice-over recording
4 further hours editing and audio dubbing prior to final approval.
4 hours final preparation and encoding
Library Music Fee
Animated Graphic
(i.e. your logo animated for TV)
Presenter's fee
Voice-Over Artist fee
Remember;
if none of our package deals exactly fit your needs it can always be modified
or extended for you. And we're equally pleased to give you a bespoke package
rate for almost any programme you'd like us to quote for....

RACK
RATES
'Rack Rate' is
the term used to describe the full, non-discount price of our individual
services. We use these rates to calculate the pre-discount and default
cost of any package of services we provide. Full Rack rates are generally
only applied to client accounts on which payment is overdue, where programmes
are made at very short notice or on productions which take us outside
the UK.
Rack rates are
also used to calculate overtime and out-of-hours working time, although
where these are additional to a package deal (as they almost always are)
the actual amount charged will be discounted at the same rate as the package.
COMPANY POLICY IS ALWAYS
TO MINIMISE THE NUMBER OF CREW AND THE COMPLEXITY OF ANY GIVEN SHOOT IN
ORDER TO KEEP OUR PRICES DOWN. ADDITIONAL STAFF ARE ALWAYS AVAILABLE ON
CUSTOMER REQUEST BUT ARE ONLY EVER SPECIFIED BY US WHEN ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.
Agency Discounts
Individuals or companies who
can satisfy us that they are bona-fide web designers, advertising agents,
P.R. consultants or multimedial content providers may be entitled to take
advantage of our agency discounts when commissioning projects on behalf of
clients. Special terms and conditions apply to such work. Please contact us
for further details.

Fuel
and Travel costs.
Whilst we do still
routinely cover the whole of the UK, Due to current government policies
and taxation on fuel we regret that we are no longer able to freely 'factor
in' the now very significant cost of UK road fuel into our prices
without causing a severe disadvantage to the majority of our customers
who are based here in Scotland...
We were faced with
a choice of either raising our prices for everyone or introducing an additional
mileage charge in respect of road miles outwith what we consider a 'reasonable
day's drive'. We decided that the latter course of action was fairer on
the majority of our clients.
Package prices
and location day rates include the cost of road travel to locations
within 125 road miles of our base near Livingston, West Lothian. In practice
this means we cover most of Scotland's Central Belt, the Lowlands and
Borders and as far up as Oban and Arbroath without incurring any extra
travel costs.
Work that accrues more
than 250 road miles in any day or involves working outside the 125 mile
limit will generate an additional mileage charge of 65p per mile; this
figure having been calculated to take into account the actual cost
of running our vehicles as opposed to the fantasy figure put forward by
the government!
London
Surcharge
London has, thanks to its combination
of transport policies (congestion and parking charges etc.) and red tape
surrounding the simplest of film or video shoots on its streets, become
one of the least practical and most stressful places to film in the UK.
It's not that we don't like London or Londoners. But frankly, we feel
Boris and Co have continued where mad Ken left off and made it a very
difficult and unwelcoming place to get through a day's work!
Working in London is always
now a stressful experience for our crews. And where once a London shoot
was something to look forward to it's now something of a nightmare that
people dread to the extent where we need to pay more to persuade crews
to go down there.
There
is therefore a £400 per day surcharge for each crew of up to two
people engaged on a shoot that takes us into the London congestion charge
area and an additional charge of £150 per day for each extra crew
member.
That's IN ADDITION to the congestion
charge itself and also in addition to any parking charges or fines, charges
the local authorities might make in respect of permissions or admin plus
our administration fees. That surcharge also applies to pre-production
activities. Please note that we will not operate without all appropriate
permissions, permits in place nor will be operate outside any legislative
requirements. Crews are instructed to comply fully with the requirements
of police and other officials and if a crew is moved on their time remains
chargeable.
If this policy seems harsh
then we apologise....
We apologise to the landlords
of the pubs we won't be drinking in. Owners of cafes we won't be eating
in, shops we won't be shopping in and hotels we won't be sleeping in.
We'd also like to express our sincere regrets to the London based runners
and production assistants we won't be hiring as a result of this policy.
But we're sick and tired of our crews being abused by the London authorities
and the petty officials on the streets who have made working in London
an utterly soul-destroying experience. When London re-thinks its attitudes
to business in the city we'll happily re-think ours!
